Our old great retro looking barstools were too uncomfortable and a bit low to the counter. Finally made the decision to replace them. These new stools are wonderfully different, much more comfortable, adjustable, and quite sharp looking at our counter. Like all other reviewers have noted, they are very easy to assemble. Don't know how these would work for a heavy person, they seem slim and may not be heavy duty. We are thin at 105lb and 160lb.
