I bought these when there was a coupon so I paid something like $150 for four stools. My expectations were a bit low. I've had these in use for about a month and really like them. They come unassembled but well packed with plastic bagging and some foam bumpers where one part might rub on another. Everything was kind of immobilized by zip ties that were pretty easy to cut. These are made in Vietnam according to the packing. The instructions were easy to follow and the parts were marked. The fasteners were all the same which is nice, so every connection required a flat washer, a split washer, and an Allen-head bolt. As usual the tools that came with the pieces were fine but a ratchet and screwdriver-type Allen tool make the process faster to finish. The bolts had blue threadlock applied which was a nice thing to see. The seating surface itself is nice--firm enough but compliant. I got the grey upholstered option and it looks to be good quality. There is some stitching that also looks good. I'm hoping it holds up but see no reason to worry about it at this point. These do come with adjustable feet but not sure how useful those really are for something like this. I screwed them all down and all four stools sit flat on the floor. Overall highly recommended if you need counter-height stools and don't want to break the bank.
